You don't have to look far to find quotes about habits. The reason they're talked about so much is because of their power. A bad habit is seen as everything from an inconvenience to a prison. A good habit, on the other hand, can save your life or at least make it so much simpler.

When you get up in the morning you go through a routine; splash a little water in your face, run a comb through your hair, brush your teeth, get some coffee, whatever it is, you do it without thinking about it. It's easy because you've done it enough to make it a habit. 

You can create a habit around anything. You  probably do it at work. You have them for completing household chores and other mundane tasks. You even set tomorrow's workout clothes in your bag next to the door at night so they're ready to go. 

You can build useful habits into your eating plan as well. Creating the habit to eat slowly, maybe by setting a timer, is a great habit to cultivate. Simple (not always easy, at first) it's the beginning of many more changes you can make to better your life.
